I know I mentioned this in yesterday’s post, but the idea of antiquing is intriguing. So I ask — do you antique? If so, what are you in search for?
Do you prefer consignment and resale stores over antique stores? The price tags were pretty steep at Fifteen Ten Antiques. I didn’t know if this was common.
Pondering … should I start to antique shop myself? Looking for input today! 🙂
Until next time…
Save the overhead cost. You can open a shop on Etsy.com and sell antiques.
Absolutely! Antiquing/thrifting are one of my favorite past times. Check out the ICA show at Metrolina. Starts tomorrow and happens every first weekend of the month. I also love The Depot at Gibson Mill in Concord. Awesome items and even better prices. I look for furnitue pieces with great bones, unique vases and other decorative items (vintage maps, mason jars, unique storage for small items). Start small and get a booth at one of our local retailers.
Thanks Cheryl! Great advice on places to check out. I love the idea of repurposing a traditional piece. However, the pieces I saw last Sunday were priced a little high to justify any repurpose work. 😉 I will definitely check out the Metrolina Expo (have heard wonderful things about that place!) and The Depot.
